allofmp3.com $1.65 Trillion Lawsuit Dropped
A lawsuit filed by several record labels against Russian-based music website AllofMP3.com has been dropped.
The suit, filed by Sony BMG, Warner Music, Vivendi and EMI, who were backed by the RIAA, was worth some $1.65 trillion (about £836bn) but was voluntarily dismissed by the claimants.
A statement from the website said: “AllofMP3.com welcomes the decision of record labels to voluntarily dismiss their lawsuit against the site.”

Joakim Noah Busted For Marijuana Possession
Noah, 23, was spotted by Gainesville Police in the 100 block of S. Main Street about 1:50 a.m., according to GPD spokeswoman Summer Hallett. Police reported he was carrying what appeared to be a clear plastic cup with an iced, amber-colored beverage inside.
Noah put the cup down when he saw law enforcement, she said. Police checked the cup and said it smelled like an alcoholic beverage.

Microsoft charged Bill $1,632 for a single Windows Vista Ultimate upgrade license. Each time Bill, an IT Manager, tried to his enter his payment details through Windows Live Marketplace he was told that Microsoft could not be contacted, and to “please try again later.”
What Microsoft really meant was, “Ha! Got your money! How ’bout some more?!”
Bill ultimately entered his payment information 7 times. Each attempt cost him $233.15. Now his account is out $1,632, and Microsoft is refusing to help.
